As-Salamu Alaikum Wa-rahmatullah

Dear brothers & sisters in Islam, We are sadly announcing that on Dec 18-2023 Siraatul Jannah Center’s (Masjid & Madrasa) building was badly damaged by fire.

​

We have been renting this place (located at 7735 Castor Ave Philadelphia PA 19152) since 2019. All of our Masjid activities & Madrasa activities were held in this building. All three floors of the masjid/madrasa were utilized during Jumuah, Ramadan and special occasions. From Mon - Sat 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, 175 students were learning Quran & Hadith of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi WaSallam at the Masjid Alhamdulillah.

After being damaged by fire, the entire building is not usable for now. Our Books, library, school supplies, desk, Computer, iPad, projectors, prayer mats and many other items were damaged badly. It will take a few months for the landlord to complete the renovation. 

Now We’re unable to use this building as a Masjid & Madrasa. Our students are at home. We need to bring them back as soon as possible to a Masjid environment, InShaaAllah.

Alhamdulillah, by mercy of Allah, now we’re already in the process of getting this place (picture above) located at 1920 Chandler St, Philadelphia, PA 19111,  which is one block away from our current location.

  • -Masjid/Madrasa fire damage renovation cost Estimated: $110K

  • -Amount Collected : $135K

  • -Deficit Amount : $400K
